Yesterday, Donald Trump turned himself in to authorities at the Fulton County Jail in Georgia after being indicted.
Today, the mugshot is already appearing on merchandise, just like we suspected that it would be.
The former president had already been selling merchandise with a fake mugshot, so it was a safe bet that when the real thing dropped, he and his campaign folks would turn it into a rallying point for supporters.
On the Win Red store, supporters can currently buy a whole collection of merchandise, including multiple different T-shirts, can coolers, coffee mugs, and car window stickers, that feature the mugshot with the caption “Never Surrender!”

Political merchandise has come a long way since simple buttons that say, “I Like Ike.” Now merchandise has to capture moments immediately after they happen, or take advantage of an opportunity to use merchandise to attack political adversary.
Even though we’re not surprised to see this merchandise, it’s still pretty unprecedented and noteworthy.
